Translucent Echoes

Artist Statement

In this series, I explore the interplay of depth, opacity, and translucence by painting across layered sheets of textured acrylic. Each layer reveals subtle glimpses of the one beneath, creating a dynamic fusion of form and shadow that shifts as the viewer’s perspective changes. These layers act as both visual and conceptual veils, symbolizing the complex, multi-faceted nature of perception and memory.

By merging abstracted figures or scenes across translucent planes, I invite viewers to engage in a dialogue between what is revealed and what remains hidden, echoing the layered realities we navigate in life.
